Hot Topics: Hawaii Five-O could use this wave

0

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is now trying to prohibit the selling of sugary and fatty foods in public and private hospitals in NYC. This comes as no shock since Bloomberg has been vocal in the banning of super-sized sugar drinks from restaurants and movie theatres in the city. If this passes, hospitals will no longer be able to sell deep fried foods, and they will only have healthy snacks and salad bars.

The song "Moon River" made him an icon. Singer Andy Williams died at the age of 84. He had cancer. He was one of the most popular vocalists in the 1960's and had a string of holiday specials in the 1970's and 1980's. Williams is survived by his wife and three children.

OK, sing it...."da da--da da---da da..... da da da dahhh..." This looks like it could be something out of Hawaii Five-O but these massive waves were nothing to mess around with. The powerful currents swamped ten canoes in Hawaii. Paddlers were heading out of Hale Harbor but they didn't get very far. One of the paddlers suffered broken ribs and a rotator cuff injury when her canoe collided with another in the water.
